MotoGP’s Yamaha boosts sponsorship roster for new season

MotoGP motorcycling team Yamaha Factory Racing has announced a trio of commercial deals ahead of the 2014 season.

Kazakh financial services group Eurasian Bank has entered into a two-year partnership with Yamaha as an official sponsor and its logo will feature on the motorcycles of both Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi, the riders’ racing leathers, team clothing and equipment. The deal marks Eurasian Bank’s first involvement in MotoGP.

Natural gas supplier SuisseGas has also signed for a two-year term, building on a successful 2013 season with Yamaha.  Like Eurasian Bank, it will also feature on Lorenzo’s and Rossi’s bikes for the full season, along with two extra logos for the opening round in Qatar and the meetings at Mugello and Misano – the latter two in SuisseGas’ core market of Italy.

Additionally, Yamaha has renewed its long-standing association with Italian automotive manufacturer Fiat Group, with its Fiat Professional brand becoming an official sponsor and supplier of vehicles to the team for the 2014 season.

The Fiat Professional logo will be visible on all team equipment and on the nose of both race bikes, while its Ducato Van, Fiat Scudo Panorama models and a selection of other cars will assist in Yamaha’s logistical operations at races and test events globally.
