MasterCard has agreed to become the official payment card of the French Open grand slam tournament as part of a new five-year partnership with the French Tennis Federation (FFT).
The partnership will draw on MasterCard’s expertise in technology and payment, as well as the FFT’s specialism in the organisation, promotion and coordination of tennis in France and across the world.
Through Priceless Paris, the latest deployment of the company’s Priceless Cities initiative, MasterCard will provide privileged access to the best of Paris during the French Open, and introduce a range of exclusive offers and experiences created for Parisians and visitors.
In addition, fans and MasterCard clients will gain a number of other privileges, such as exclusive access to parties, premium seats at the tournament, special offers and behind the scenes access.
Alfredo Gangotena, chief marketing officer at MasterCard, said: “Through this event, we will give MasterCard cardholders and customers the chance to re-discover and enjoy the Priceless city of Paris in a unique way with prominent partners, locations and institutions specially selected for this occasion.”
