Automotive company Mahindra Two Wheelers has agreed a sponsorship deal with the Rajasthan Royals Indian Premier League (IPL) cricket franchise for the remainder of the 2013 campaign.
Under the agreement, Rajasthan Royals players will sport Mahindra Pantero motorcycle branding on their trousers during the team’s matches in the Twenty20 cricket competition.
In addition, customers will also be able to experience the Mahindra Pantero motorcycles for themselves at the club’s home ground, Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. Other promotions will include competitions to win match tickets and the opportunity to meet players and staff at a gala function in the city.
The deal will strengthen Mahindra’s presence in the sporting world, with the firm already boasting partnerships with Scottish Premier League football club Celtic and the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR) in Canada.
In addition, Mahindra Racing was the first Indian team to participate in motorcycling’s MotoGP championship in 2011, as well as the Italian Motorcycle Racing Championship in 2012.
