Danish oil and gas company Maersk Oil has agreed a deal for its Qatari subsidiary to become a prestige partner of the 2015 Men’s Handball World Championship, which is being hosted by Doha.
As a prestige partner, Maersk Oil will receive the highest level of commercial rights in association with the event including advertising rights and prominent logo placement in all marketing material.
Qatar 2015 and Maersk Oil will collaborate on a series of community initiatives, including Maersk’s social investment programme Action for Qatar.

Sponsorship of the Handball World Championship-2015 will be aligned with and supported by elements of our ‘Action on Diabetes’ programme and the ‘Schools Olympic Programme’ which are great examples of our successful local partnerships.”
Maersk Oil joins Qatar Petroleum as a prestige partner of Qatar 2015, which runs from January 15 to February 1.
