Swiss luxury watch brand Longines has agreed a deal with Masters Grand Slam Indoor equestrian series organiser EEM World to be the title sponsor of the inaugural Los Angeles Masters event.
The first American Grand Slam takes place at the Los Angeles Convention Center on September 25-28 and brings together the world’s premier show jumpers under the same format as meetings in Paris and Hong Kong.
Longines’ association with equestrian spans more than a century, having first partnered show jumping competitions in 1912.
In March it sealed a five-year sponsorship agreement with the Australian Turf Club. The terms of Longines’ deal with EEM World were not disclosed.
The International Equestrian Federation (FEI) and US Equestrian Federation (USEF) endorsed Los Angeles Masters will feature the 25 best riders in the world, competing for a share of $1m (€730,000) in prize money.
