Liberty Mutual Insurance has agreed a deal to become an official sponsor of the US Soccer national governing body.
The deal will run for four years, from 2015 through to 2018.
Under the agreement, Liberty Mutual will become the official insurance partner of the US men’s and women’s national teams, as well as the country’s various youth teams and the US Soccer Development Academy.
Liberty Mutual will also become the presenting sponsor of one of the national team’s marquee games during the year and benefit from various assets. These will include branding on in-stadium and field signage, on-site event activation, social and digital media assets, as well as various advertising, marketing and promotional opportunities.
In addition, the agreement includes rights to align with national team players, coaches and legends for various activities.
The deal will expand on an ongoing relationship Liberty Mutual has had with US Youth Soccer since 2007.
Liberty Mutual also has deals in place with various other US national sporting bodies including USA Hockey, USA Volleyball, USA Water Polo and US Rowing. The firm is also an official partner of the US Olympic and Paralympic teams.
The deal was brokered by Soccer United Marketing and was unveiled ahead of the US men’s national team’s 2-0 victory over Mexico on Wednesday evening.
