Joma has strengthened its presence in the South American football market by agreeing to become the clothing partner of Argentinian Primera División club Argentinos Juniors for the next three years, from 2013-14 to 2015-16.
The Spanish sportswear company will provide the team’s match and training wear, replacing Brazilian sports brand Olympikus as the club’s clothing partner.
Joma already has a number of kit partnerships with lower league Argentinian clubs, but the deal with top-tier Argentinos will give the brand increased exposure.
The firm is already well established in the European club football market, having provided kit for the likes of Valencia and Getafe in Spain and Fiorentina in Italy. It also has kit partnerships with the national teams of Honduras, Nicaragua and Trinidad and Tobago.
