Italian Serie A football club Inter Milan has entered into a partnership with video game developer Konami.
The three-year deal runs until the end of the 2019-20 season and names Konami as Inter’s global video game partner.
As part of the agreement, Konami will recreate Inter’s squad on its Pro Evolution Soccer 2018 game. The company will use its 3D scanning systems to create in-game models of Inter players and will be granted extensive access to capture the club’s San Siro stadium.
Audio content from matches at the San Siro has also been captured to help recreate the stadium’s atmosphere on PES 2018.
In return, Konami and PES 2018 will be granted extensive brand exposure at the San Siro, while promotions will be organised in official partner zones around the ground. Konami and Inter will also promote the partnership on their respective social media channels.
The partnership has been signed ahead of the release of PES 2018 on Thursday.
