Japan Airlines has entered into a partnership with the International Federation of Sport Climbing.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but it was confirmed that Japan Airlines will serve as a main partner of the IFSC throughout the 2018 season.
Japan Airlines will be present at all official IFSC events and activities, as well as on the global governing body’s various social media channels.
The deal comes with sport climbing set to be included at the summer Olympic Games for the first time at Tokyo 2020. Sport climbing will also make its debut at the summer Youth Olympic Games this year in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
IFSC president Marco Scolaris said: “We are thrilled to have such a committed partner sharing the same vision and passion for aiming higher, especially during a period of substantial growth and new opportunities for sport climbing.”
