Harlequins adds McAfee to patchwork kit

INTERNET SECURITY company McAfee has signed a sponsorship deal with Premiership Rugby champions Harlequins.

Despite the partnership commencing at the start of the season in September, official confirmation of the deal came this week.

Under terms of the deal, the McAfee logo will appear on the back left of players’ shorts while the brand will also receive signage at the team’s home ground, The Twickenham Stoop.

The McAfee logo will join a host of other corporate brands on the Harlequins kit. Etihad Airways is the club’s main sponsor and takes primary position on the front of the shirt.

DHL, QBE and Greene King IPA adorn the back of the playing jerseys from top to bottom respectively, while LV= appears on the front left and back right of the shorts.

News of McAfee’s sponsorship comes in the same week as the club announced Ascot Underwriting as the official sponsor of its Debenture Lounge and a week after the recruitment of James Kendall as commercial director, who will take up his role on November 5.

The McAfee deal was introduced and brokered by commercial rights consultancy brandmeetsbrand.
