Golden State Warriors uncork Silver Oak deal

NBA basketball franchise the Golden State Warriors has agreed a partnership with Californian winery Silver Oak.

The brand’s Cabernet Sauvignon will be served at Oracle Arena throughout the 2018-19 season, while limited-edition bottles will be produced featuring different logos from the team over the past 47 years.

The partnership also includes content development rights. Silver Oak’s director of marketing and public relations Ian Leggat told the San Francisco Chronicle newspaper: “It makes a lot of sense for us and for the Warriors. We see a lot of Bay Area customers who are at the leading edge of wine tastes and are also really dedicated sports fans.”

Silver Oak also currently serves as the official wine partner of Major League Baseball team the San Francisco Giants.
