GL Events Field & Lawn Limited has been announced as the official overlay and temporary structures provider for the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
A joint venture between worldwide event solutions company GL Events and Scottish-based marquee hire company Field & Lawn Limited, the group will be responsible for a polyclinic enclosure in the athletes’ village. The polyclinic will provide round-the-clock medical services to athletes and team officials throughout the multi-sport event.
GL Events Field & Lawn Limited will also provide marquees and other structures for use at a number of Games venues, including the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome, the Emirates Arena, Tollcross International Swimming Centre and the Scotstoun Sports Campus. The temporary structures will be used for a variety of purposes from medical to merchandise tents.
An established presence at global sporting events, GL Events has serviced the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, football’s 2013 Fifa Confederations Cup in Brazil and rugby union’s Six Nations championship.
