Gatorade furthers NFL backing with Chinese partnership

PepsiCo-owned isotonic drinks brand Gatorade has entered into a partnership with the Chinese division of American football league the NFL.

As part of the deal, the length of which was not disclosed, Gatorade and NFL China will launch the 2016 Gatorade One Pass to Fame initiative.

The initiative will cover colleges and universities in the six Chinese cities of Beijing, Wuhan, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Chengdu and Chongqing, and will lead to fans being given the chance to attend next year’s Super Bowl at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas. The partnership will also continue to promote the sport of American football across China.

Gatorade is a long-term partner of the NFL.
