US clothing brand Gant has agreed a deal to sponsor the 24 Hours of Le Mans motor-racing event.
The three-year agreement covers the 2017 to 2019 editions of the historic race and names Gant as the official dresser of the event.
Under the agreement, Gant will release a Le Mans-branded clothing range in May, ahead of this year’s event on June 17-18.
“Gant is a prestigious partner for the 24 Hours of Le Mans,” Pierre Fillon, president of the Automobile Club de l’Ouest, which operates the event, said. “The youth of its style and its elegant designs fit perfectly with the Le Mans spirit that is dear to us. This is also in line with our desire to open up and boost the image of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.”
The partnership was brokered by IMG Licensing, the agency responsible for marketing licensing rights for the 24 Hours of Le Mans brand.
