New Zealand Football has agreed a three-year sponsorship deal with Ford New Zealand through which the domestic arm of the US automotive giant will take on naming rights to the women’s national team for the first time.

Ford’s backing will primarily be focused on women’s and girls’ football. NZ Football said the contract represents a significant investment in what will now be known as the Ford Football Ferns, along with the girls and women’s game from the elite level right down to grassroots.
