The World Rowing Federation (FISA) has extended its partnership with the World Wildlife Fund until 2019.
FISA established its alliance with the WWF in 2011 to promote the charity’s clean water initiatives.
Stuart Orr, manager of the global freshwater programme at WWF international, said: "This is the longest strategic alliance with a sports federation that we have formed to date. It is a direct reflection of the work World Rowing has done so far in the promotion of clean water and the ideal match that WWF has found with World Rowing."
FISA will continue to educate rowers and fans to apply environmentally-sustainable practices in the use and management of water, while implementing best practice in sustainable sports events management at its regattas.
