Fiat rides away with British Cycling extension

Italian automotive company Fiat has extended its role as the official vehicle supplier to British Cycling through to 2016.

Fiat has partnered the national governing body at all levels, from elite performance to grass roots, since 2009, along with sustaining a presence at British Cycling’s major events such as the Track World Cups in Manchester, London and Glasgow.

Under the renewed terms, Fiat will continue to provide a fleet of support vehicles to British Cycling, including its new 500L model.

Coaches from British Cycling’s Go-Ride initiative will use a new Fiat Doblo to visit schools and other clubs to deliver practical cycling sessions, while vehicles from across the Fiat Professional range will be used by elite coaches at major events throughout Europe.

Fiat will continue to provide access to track days for British Cycling athletes, while supporting its Let’s Clear the Air campaign aimed towards promoting mutual respect between all road users.
