German energy company EWE has extended its contract as the main sponsor and naming rights partner of leading Basketball Bundesliga club EWE Baskets Oldenburg through to 2016.
EWE has held the naming rights to the club for over a decade and also sponsors its home arena.
EWE Baskets Oldenburg said the extension will provide the basis to consolidate its position as one of Germany’s top basketball clubs, while also placing an emphasis on youth development.
The Bundesliga is about to enter its playoffs with EWE Baskets Oldenburg set to face Telekom Baskets Bonn in their first game on Saturday.
