Energy, construction and engineering company Doosan has extended a sponsorship deal with golf’s Open Championship.
The renewal will run for five years, from 2015 to 2019.
This year’s edition of the championship will take place at St Andrews in Scotland from July 16-19.
The agreement was reached with the Royal & Ancient Golf Club, which operates the tournament.
According to Doosan, research from brand analysis and research agency Repucom has suggested that the company’s sponsorship of the Open generates about $13m (€11.8m) worth of exposure per year.
