Financial services company Comdirect and supermarket chain Aldi have been announced as the two presenting sponsors of this year’s Beach Volleyball World Championships in Hamburg, Germany.
The event, which is sanctioned by the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB), will take place from June 28 to July 7.
Comdirect is an existing sponsor of the German Volleyball Federation (DVV).
Comdirect will serve as an innovation partner of the tournament, with Aldi becoming its Official Freshness Partner.
This summer’s tournament will be held at Hamburg’s 13,200-capacity Am Rothenbaum Stadium. It will feature a total prize fund of $1m (€886,000).
It will mark the second time Germany has staged the event after Berlin hosted in 2005.
