US flat-rolled steel producer Cleveland-Cliffs has upgraded its existing multi-year marketing agreement with the NBA’s Cleveland Cavaliers to a jersey patch sponsorship, starting from next season.

Cliffs replaces tyre manufacturer Goodyear in the lead sponsorship role and is reportedly paying a similar rights fee to it its predecessor – about $10m (€9m) per season, according to US media reporting.
