The organisers of the Chennai Open ATP World Tour tennis event have announced a number of new sponsorship deals for the 2014 edition of the annual tournament.
The 2014 Chennai Open began on December 30 and is due to end on January 5. All of the new sponsorship deals are in relation to the current tournament.
Hotel operator Hyatt has confirmed that its Hyatt Regency Chennai hotel will serve as the official hotel for the next three editions of the event, including the 2014 tournament. Hyatt Regency Chennai will play host to players, tournament officials and guests for the duration of their stay in Chennai. It will also hold various player parties and partner events.
Swiss luxury watch manufacturer Rado has agreed to serve as the official time keeper of the Chennai Open 2014 for the second consecutive year. Under the deal, Rado will have a presence on centre court with corner clocks, which will time every match and measure the speed of each serve in all tournament matches.
The Indian subsidiary of Italian car manufacturer Fiat has also agreed a deal to become the official car partner of the 2014 tournament. As part of its sponsorship activities for the event, Fiat India held a digital contest for fans on Facebook and Twitter to win a meet-and-greet session with Indian tennis player Rohan Bopanna.
Event organisers also confirmed that Indian-Malaysian low-cost airline AirAsia India has entered into a new one-year deal to become the official airline of the 2014 tournament.
