Esurance extends USTA and US Open sponsorship

The United States Tennis Association (USTA) has agreed an extension to its deal with Esurance to continue its sponsorship of the US Open tennis tournament until 2015, according to 10sball.com.

The direct-to-consumer car insurance firm first became a sponsor of the tournament in 2010 and will now retain its role as the official car insurance sponsor of the Grand Slam event, which takes place over the final week of August and the first week of September each year.

In addition to various branding and advertising opportunities, Esurance will expand its sponsorship using USTA digital platforms. The firm will become one of three sponsors of the new ‘US Open Social Wall’, a video wall that will first feature at this year’s event, showcasing fan passion by displaying the most compelling US Open-related social content. The campaign will also be visible on the tournament’s official website.

Esurance has also been confirmed as the presenting sponsor of the US Open iPad app, which will include live streaming on the app and on the official website of the event.

In addition, Esurance will also sponsor US Open Series events that will lead up to the US Open. The tournaments will include the BB&T Atlanta Open and Winston-Salem Open men’s competitions, the Bank of the West Classic and New Haven Open women’s competitions, as well as the Western and Southern Open for men and women.
