The European arm of Japanese consumer electronics company Canon has been announced as the official supplier of imaging solutions to the 2014 Ryder Cup golf tournament.
Canon will provide all photography, video, print and copying solutions used by event organisers at the storied biennial matchplay event, which takes place at the Gleneagles Hotel in Perthshire, Scotland on September 26-28 next year.
Additionally, Canon will work with Ryder Cup Europe to deliver a range of image-related initiatives to enhance the spectator experience and showcase its latest imaging and camera technology.
The Canon Professional Services team will be on site to provide advice, essential maintenance services, equipment loans and minor repairs to professional photographers at the Ryder Cup.
The Ryder Cup joins the IAAF World Athletics Series, the Uefa Euro 2012 football championships and the 2013 World Figure Skating Championships among the high-profile sporting events to be supported by Canon.
