British automotive manufacturer Vauxhall Motors has been named as the official commercial vehicle of the 2017 British Superbike Championship (BSB), while the German car-maker BMW is set to provide the official course, safety and medical car fleet for the next three years.
A total of six Vauxhall vans will be utilised by BSB to provide both track and offsite support during the season and the fleet will include four Movano and two Brit-built Vivaro panel vans.
The championship is set to take place at Donington Park from March 31 to April 2.
The deal between BMW Group UK and MotorSport Vision Racing will see a total of nine cars supplied in the first season, with six models represented.
The medical team will be equipped with an X5 and two X3 M Sport models for rapid response. Race directors, VIP transport and the podium finishers’ presentation will use the 5 Series GT M Sport, X5 M Sport and 4 Series M Sport convertible models respectively.
BMW will also provide S1000 RR motorcycles for official presentation and media activities.
