US audio equipment manufacturer Bose has agreed a deal to expand its partnership with the NFL by assuming branding rights to the headsets worn by coaches in the American football league, according to the Bloomberg news agency.
Bose already serves as the official home audio sponsor of the NFL under an agreement dating back to 2011. Bloomberg said the company’s new deal with the league would begin next season.
The coaches’ headsets were free of branding last season after the NFL’s agreement with Motorola expired.
The US telecommunications company had featured on the headsets with its distinctive bat wing logo for the previous 13 years, gaining extensive television visibility during NFL game broadcasts.
