Girondins de Bordeaux has entered into a partnership with Sweetcom Group making the French energy group its main sponsor, while Ligue 1 football rival OGC Nice has extended a deal with national banking group Crédit Agricole.
Bordeaux has signed a deal with Sweetcom covering the remainder of the 2016-17 season, as well as 2017-18 and 2018-19.
Sweetcom already holds a deal granting it branding placement on the back of the club’s shirts and will continue in this role for away games, while taking front-of-jersey placement for home matches.
Sweetcom becomes the first company to have a shirt sponsorship deal in place with two Ligue 1 clubs at the same time, due to its existing deal with AS Nancy Lorraine.
Meanwhile, Nice has agreed to extend its partnership with Crédit Agricole until 2019.
Crédit Agricole will continue to sponsor a number of in-house awards, such as the club’s player of the month and player of the season.
The company will also continue to work with Nice on a series of initiatives, such as competitions for fans to win tickets to home games.
