German automotive manufacturer BMW has reached a deal to become an official partner of the International Luge Federation (FIL).
The multi-year partnership expands BMW’s involvement with the winter sport and it will continue as the official main sponsor of the Luge World Cup, official partner of the Luge World Championships, official automotive partner of the FIL and its World Cup and the official presenting sponsor of the federation’s Relay World Cup.
As a partner of the Bobsleigh and Luge Federation of Germany (BSD), BMW has experience in promoting luge at national level, while leading German competitors Georg Hackl, Felix Loch and Natalie Geisenberger have benefitted from using the company’s wind tunnel facilities.
Under the deal, the terms of which were undisclosed, BMW will benefit from a prominent and extensive branding presence at the Luge World Cup, World and European Championships and other flagship events.
