US telecommunications company AT&T has extended its backing of Red Bull Racing by signing a new multi-year partnership with the Formula One motor racing team.
AT&T, which has sponsored the UK-based team since 2012, will continue to serve as an ‘innovation partner’ of Red Bull. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
As part of the deal, AT&T’s new logo will appear on the rear wing of Red Bull’s RB12 cars and on the racing overalls of its drivers, Daniel Ricciardo and Daniil Kvyat. The company will continue to provide the team with its global network and connectivity services on race weekends.
“Our innovation partnership with AT&T provides an integral part of our race weekend set-up,” Red Bull’s team principal Christian Horner said. “Being able to connect to the factory from wherever we’re racing has become essential to our operation.”
