English Premier League football club Aston Villa has entered into a partnership with the Andalucía region of southern Spain.
The one-year deal will run for the duration of the 2014-15 season.
Under the agreement with the region's tourist board, Andalucía will become the club’s official tourist destination partner for the 2014-15 campaign.
Although further details of the deal were not disclosed, Robin Russell, acting chief executive of Villa, said: “The club is excited about the opportunities that we will be able to offer our fans in the coming months as a result of the partnership.”
Villa beat Stoke City 1-0 on Saturday in the club’s opening game of the 2014-15 campaign.
