Danish shoe manufacturer Ecco has entered into a partnership with golf’s Asian Tour.
The deal, the length of which was not disclosed, names Ecco the official footwear supplier of the Tour.
Under the agreement, Ecco will receive advertising exposure through the Tour’s digital, online and print platforms. Customer engagement initiatives will also be organised at Tour events to promote the partnership.
“We saw the Asian Tour as a great platform for us to promote our brand,” Jesper Schmith Thuen, Ecco’s head of golf, said. “Our partnership with the Tour is a good way to extend and grow our market reach, and connect with golfing audiences across the region.
“The Asian Tour extends into many of the markets we have presence or intend to have presence in, hence this is a strategic partnership with the official sanctioning body for professional golf in Asia. It also gives us a shoe in the door, providing us with the opportunity to promote our footwear range throughout the region.”
Ecco joins the Asian Tour’s stable of partners and sponsors that includes Fenix Golf, Fuji Xerox, Hilton Worldwide, Titleist and Rolex.
