Danish bank Arbejdernes Landsbank has threatened to quit as a major sponsor of the Danish Football Union (DBU) to comply with a new law banning banks from advertising together with gambling companies in Denmark.
The new quick-loans law, designed to clamp down on the marketing of short-term financial loans by severing links with advertising by betting providers, came into effect on July 1.
