Banking group ANZ has agreed a five-year extension to its sponsorship of the Australian Open grand slam tennis tournament.
Under the deal ANZ is the exclusive banking partner of the Australian Open and is one of three second-tier associate sponsors alongside Jacob’s Creek and Rolex.
Last year, ANZ bolstered its tennis presence in the Asia Pacific region through a five-year sponsorship of the Shanghai Masters and launched the ANZ China Tennis Development Program grass roots initiative.
The 2014 Australian Open concluded at the weekend, with Switzerland’s Stanislas Wawrinka and China’s Li Na taking home the respective men’s and women’s singles titles.
