The Athletics Federation of India (AFI) has announced a “long-term” sponsorship agreement with Mumbai-based conglomerate Reliance Industries ahead of the Oregon 2022 World Athletics Championships.

The deal will see the conglomerate’s branding appear on the national athletics team’s jerseys and training kits at key competitions and training camps. In addition, Reliance will provide athletes – especially emerging female athletes – with access to training facilities, coaching, sports science and sports medicine at its sports centres.
