A-League cashes in on new partnership

FOOTBALL FEDERATION AUSTRALIA has agreed a deal with ME Bank to become a sponsor of the Hyundai A-League, the top tier of Australian football.

The partnership sees the Melbourne-based financial services company become the Official Banking Partner of the A-League and the FFA’s grassroots football program.

“It’s exciting to form a long-term partnership with the FFA and the Hyundai A-League which covers both the elite and grassroots aspects of Australian football,” said Aimee Suchard-Lowe, ME Bank’s general manager of marketing and brand.

“This exciting new concept is designed to reinforce ME Bank’s positioning in the Australian banking landscape.”

Under the agreement, the FFA have also created a new award, the ME Bank Green Card for Fairer Play, which recognises and rewards gestures of fair play on and off the field.

“With the backing of a fantastic new partner in ME Bank, this award will surely become an important feature of our competitive calendar,” said David Gallop, FFA chief executive.
