Online gaming company 32Red has agreed a deal to become the title sponsor of the King George VI Winter Festival and Lanzarote Hurdle Day horse racing fixtures.
32Red has also extended its backing of the Tolworth Hurdle Day meet through an expanded deal with the Jockey Club, which oversees the running of 15 of the UK’s leading racecourses.
The three-year agreement covers the 2016 to 2018 editions of the King George VI Winter Festival, as well as the 2017, 2018 and 2019 Lanzarote Hurdle Day and Tolworth Hurdle Day fixtures. 32Red will take on title sponsorship rights to all events for the duration of the deal.
This year’s King George VI Winter Festival takes place from December 26-27 at Kempton Park in Surrey, England. The same racecourse will host the Lanzarote Hurdle on January 14 next year, while Kempton Park’s sister course, Sandown Park, will stage the Tolworth Hurdle on January 7.
32Red has sponsored the Tolworth Hurdle since 2011. The company is an authorised betting partner of the British Horseracing Authority.
“We are long established in horse racing sponsorship and are already the largest supporter of British Racing in numerical terms, but this seven-figure sponsorship package adds more quality and profile to our portfolio,” 32Red chief executive Ed Ware said.
