Longines extends backing of French racing

Swiss watchmaker Longines has extended its partnership with France Galop, the governing body of horseracing in the country.

The long-term renewal will see the company remain the title sponsor of the Prix de Diane raceday until 2019. It also retains its status as the official timekeeper of the Chantilly, Deauville and Longchamp racecourses, which stage the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe and Prix du Jockey Club events.

In addition, Longines will continue to be the title sponsor of Future Racing Stars, a junior event which takes place on the Prix de Diane raceday.

“Through this agreement, our ambition is to increasingly raise the profile of French gallop races,” Bertrand Bélinguier, president of France Galop, said.

Longines first partnered with France Galop in 2011.
