Yokohama drives NFL expansion with Colts tie-up

The US subsidiary of Japanese tyre manufacturer Yokohama has added the Indianapolis Colts to its American football sponsorship roster ahead of the 2013-14 NFL season.

Yokohama Tire Corporation this season enters into the respective third and second years of agreements with the Colts’ counterparts New England Patriots and Chicago Bears.

There will be a social media component to the Colts’ tie-up with Yokohama, along with an interactive booth in the ‘Fan Zone’ at the franchise’s eight home games. Yokohama will benefit from advertising across the three teams’ television platforms.

An enhanced NFL presence sits alongside Yokohama’s sponsorship roster in Major League Baseball, where it partners Cincinnati Reds, Los Angeles Angels and New York Yankees.
