Major League Baseball franchise the New York Yankees has entered into a partnership with Japanese consumer electronics company Panasonic.
The three-year deal names Panasonic as the official shavers and trimmers of the Yankees for the 2017, 2018 and 2019 MLB seasons.
Panasonic will activate branding related to its men’s grooming products within Yankee Stadium as part of the agreement, with consumer touch points to be situated around the ballpark, as well as in-store and online.
“With the sponsorship of the New York Yankees, Panasonic is uniting our brand with a team that maintains a carefully groomed appearance on the field,” Lori Chiazzo, senior marketing manager for beauty and grooming at Panasonic Consumer Electronics Company, said.
“This sponsorship also marries two premium brands that are well-known in their respective businesses. With the power of the Yankees we intend to broaden our audience reach as we focus on specific product marketing efforts to appeal to sports fans nationwide, both in and out of Yankee Stadium.”
