The Women’s Tennis Association has announced a five-year presenting sponsorship agreement with luxury property developer SC Global for its season-ending WTA Championships in Singapore.
Through the deal, which runs from 2014 to 2018, SC Global will receive brand exposure through international television coverage and on-site activation.
As part of the sponsorship, the SC Global Tennis for Every Child initiative will be launched, targeted towards increasing grassroots participation in the sport in Singapore.
The 2014 WTA Championship, which features the WTA’s top eight singles players and doubles pairings, makes its debut in Singapore from October 17-26 following a three-year run in Istanbul.
Financial services company BNP Paribas will continue to serve as the event’s title sponsor, having signed an undisclosed extension to its deal with the WTA last month.
