Global lubricant company WD-40 has entered into a partnership with the International Motorcycling Federation’s (FIM) Speedway Grand Prix series.
Under the agreement, WD-40 will serve as the title sponsor of the Danish Grand Prix on June 30 and will be a technical partner of the British Grand Prix in Cardiff on July 21.
WD-40 will supply products for riders during the Cardiff event as part of its sponsorship of the race.
Martin Hawyes, two wheels channel manager for WD-40, said: “WD-40 Company already has a well-established reputation within motorcycle sport with successful partnerships already existing in the British Superbike Championship with Team WD-40, the World Superbike Championship with the Aruba IT Ducati team and at MotoGP level with the Alma Pramac Ducati team.
“WD-40 Company also has a well-established reputation in the off-road world with its support of national- and international-level trials and motocross events. Speedway racing is the natural next motorcycle sport for us to get involved in and we are delighted to be supporting this thrilling spectacle at the highest level there is.”
