Telco Vodafone has extended its support of Wasps by sponsoring the Premiership rugby club’s women’s team.
Vodafone UK will serve as Wasps Ladies’ title sponsor as part of the agreement, which will cover the 2019-20 season.
Wasps said that the partnership will allow players and coaches to “connect more frequently”. The club also said the agreement would allow it provide more skill-specific sessions.
Wasps Ladies’ director of rugby Giselle Mather said: “For the Wasps family to be united in such a way is hugely exciting for us and to have the support of such a global brand is highly inspirational for the future direction of Wasps Ladies.”
Vodafone recently signed a two-year deal to become the main partner of Wasps’ men’s team, as well as Netball Superleague outfit Wasps Netball. As part of the deal, the Vodafone logo will feature on the front of Wasps Rugby’s shirt and Wasps Netball’s dress.
