International investment conglomerate the Virgin Group has struck a deal to become the official partner of the Kitesurf World Championships.
Although the terms of the long-term deal were undisclosed, it was confirmed that Virgin will take the title sponsorship rights to the series.
The tournament will now be known as the Virgin Kitesurf World Championships.
The 2015 series begins today (Monday) with an event in Dakhla, Morocco. A number of new rules and disciplines will be introduced for this year’s series as part of a wider effort by organisers to drive the tournament’s grow
