Airline Virgin Atlantic Caribbean and motorcycle manufacturer Hero Motocorp have each agreed sponsorship deals with three Caribbean Premier League cricket franchises.
Hero, which has an established presence across cricket and hockey in India, will serve as the presenting partner of Barbados Tridents and St Lucia Zouks in the 2014 edition of the Twenty20 league.
Virgin Atlantic will also sponsor the Zouks alongside Antigua Hawksbills, including both team’s fan votes for their players of the tournament. The financial terms of both deals were not disclosed.
The Hawksbills, managed by West Indies cricket legend Sir Viv Richards, begin the five-week tournament in Grenada on July 11against Guyana Amazon Warriors.
Barbados Tridents are part-owned by Hollywood actor Mark Wahlberg, while former England batsman Kevin Pietersen will represent St Lucia Zouks.
