German golf club VcG has agreed to become an official sponsor of the Solheim Cup women’s golf event, which is scheduled to take place in the country for the first time in 2015.
VcG is Germany’s biggest golf club and currently boasts 22,000 members. The aim of the sponsorship deal is to use the event to draw interest to women’s golf and contribute to the development of the sport in the country as a whole. The Europe versus America matchplay will take place between September 18-20 2015 at the St Leon-Rot Gold Club
The 2013 Solheim Cup will be held at the Colorado Golf Club in the US next month.
