DuPont signs up for 2017 Solheim Cup

Science and engineering company DuPont has been announced as the third global partner for the United States’ hosting of the 2017 Solheim Cup golf tournament.

DuPont’s appointment coincided with the announcement that the leading team event in women’s professional golf will return to the Midwest of the US in 2017, with Des Moines Golf and Country Club confirmed as the host of the event.

DuPont joins PING and Rolex, who have already been confirmed as global partners of the 2017 Solheim Cup.

The US leads Europe 8-5 all-time in Solheim Cup competition following an 18-10 loss to the Europeans in August at Colorado Golf Club in Parker, Colorado.

The 2015 Solheim Cup will take place at Golf Course St. Leon-Rot in Germany.
