The US Ski and Snowboard Association has extended its partnership with almond processing company Blue Diamond.
The new four-year deal will run until 2020, covering the 2018 winter Olympic Games in Pyeongchang, South Korea.
Under the agreement, Blue Diamond will be incorporated into athletes’ preparation and training, with its products to be used as snacks and in meals at the USSA’s Center of Excellence.
“We continue to seek out sponsors that want to activate their brands and products with our athletes and events in unique and authentic ways,” Michael Jaquet, the USSA’s chief marketing officer, said. “Integrating Blue Diamond Almonds into our High Performance program at the COE (Centre of Excellence) and then telling that story through digital, social, and television assets helps us on many fronts. We can now do this for the next four years which will be very impactful to our programs.”
The USSA renewed the partnership in conjunction with the Crown Sports United consulting service, the global sales representative tasked with marketing USSA property and intellectual rights.
