The University of Louisville Athletics department has extended its long-term partnership with sportswear company Adidas through 2018-19.
The new four-year agreement will supplant the final year of the current deal, which was due to end in 2015.
Adidas will continue to supply footwear, apparel and accessories to all Louisville Cardinals intercollegiate athletic teams, covering sports such as American football and men’s and women’s basketball.
The company will also support the university’s athletics programs through advertising campaigns, equipment room expansion, digital and video technology, support for national spirit squads, an internship program and co-branding opportunities within the university and on a national scale.
Tom Jurich, vice-president and director of University of Louisville Athletics, said: “The synergies with the sport of soccer and our new stadium, future innovative uniform designs, and the passion Adidas displays towards outfitting all of our student-athletes at the highest level nationally make this a model relationship.”
Adidas, which has been a partner of the University of Louisville since 1998, also supports more than 70 other collegiate programs.
