Australia-based touring car championship V8 Supercars has partnered with newly renamed bookmaker Ubet.
Ubet is to be re-branded from TattsBet later this week and V8 Supercars becomes the first national sporting body to team up with the company under a two-year deal covering the 2015 and 2016 seasons.
Ubet will be V8 Supercars’ exclusive wagering partner, while it has also acquired the title sponsorship of this weekend’s Perth SuperSprint at Barbagallo Raceway as the series resumes from an early season break.
Veteran V8 Supercars driver Greg Murphy has been announced as Ubet’s motorsport ambassador, while the oddsmaker will also enjoy entitlement rights to the Ubet Victory Lane at selected races along with broadcast, on-track and digital brand integration.
Ubet brand general manager Penny Glasson said: “Ubet Victory Lane delivers a strong brand association that connects the wagering brand to the passion, exhilaration and emotion that teams go through when they finally capture a hard earned victory in the V8 Supercars Championship.
“Being the first and only wagering sponsor of V8 Supercars puts Ubet at the forefront of the sport and its fans and is a significant step towards Ubet reclaiming pole position in the wagering market. The V8 Supercar Championship provides us with a platform to engage with a national audience, with key events held in our home states.”
