New York-based NFL American football franchise the Buffalo Bills and the Buffalo Sabres NHL ice hockey team have secured partnerships with transportation network company Uber.
Terms of the deals were undisclosed, but it was confirmed that Uber will serve as the official ride-sharing partners of both the Bills and Sabres, as well as National Lacrosse League team the Buffalo Bandits.
Fans will be able to use Uber to travel to home games, with Uber pick-up and drop-off zones to be established at the Bills’ New Era Field, the Sabres’ KeyBank Center arena and the Bandits’ HarborCenter home.
Uber will also work with the Bills and Sabres to become fully integrated within the ‘My One Buffalo’ mobile application, which provides fans with services such as ticket management.
In addition, Uber will benefit from branding exposure inside New Era Field and KeyBank Center.
The partnership comes after Uber recently gained approval to begin offering its services in the Buffalo region.
